HOW TO MASTER YOUR BUSINESS AND LIFE

HATTING & CONTROL

“Law:              The POWER of a THETAN stems from HIS ABILITY to HOLD a POSITION in SPACE.”

“Law:              By HATTING a person, he is GREATLY STRENGTHENED as he is HELPED to HOLD his POST.”

“Law:              Having a HAT, being HATTED and DEMONSTRATING COMPETENCE makes a person FEEL CAPABLE of HOLDING his POSITION IN SPACE and he becomes MORE STABLE,  CONFIDENT IN LIFE and MORE POWERFUL.”

                                                                                                                HCO PL 29 July 71  –  WHY HATTING?

HATTING  =  CONTROL

“When a person is uncertain, he cannot control his post, he cannot control his position.   He feels weak.   He goes slow.

If he can control his post and its actions, he feels confident.

He can work effectively and rapidly.

The key is CONTROL.

Only an org at cause can reach and control.”

THE VITAL NECESSITY OF HATTING

YOUR POST AND LIFE:

IF ONE KNOWS THE TECH OF HOW TO DO SOMETHING AND CAN DO IT, AND USES IT, HE CANNOT BE THE ADVERSE EFFECT OF IT.

Corollary:   If one is experiencing an adverse effect on a post or in life, then he does not know or has not applied the tech or policy covering it.

COUNTER-EFFORT:

“When you are trying to get somebody to do something he should do, you are in effect trying to get him to wear his hat.

In trying to get things done, you often feel you are running into “Counter- effort”.

It looks like stupidity, waywardness, laziness, mutiny, antagonism or what have you . . .

Whatever the reason . . . , it must include lack of a hat.”

                                                HCO PL 1 /10/70  –  HATS & COUNTER-EFFORT

REASONABLENESS:

“An objective can always be achieved.

Most usually, when it is not being achieved, the person is finding counter-intention in the environment which coincides with his own (this is reasonableness), and

his attention becomes directed to his own counter-intention rather than to his objective.”

                        Antagonism, anger fear, grief, apathy –

is something for which he has not accepted responsibility;

and there is misemotion only when an individual refuses to accept responsibility in that sphere of action.

He can control anything for which he has accepted the full responsibility.

He is unable to control that for which he has not accepted responsibility.”
