I am right and you are wrong!

Who has not had someone in their lives who always consider they are right, and you are wrong! Arguing with someone who thinks they are always right can be frustrating. Business or Personal relationships can be shattered if such a person is part of that group. If both parties are like that, well Heaven help us!

In fact, this is such a huge issue in social interaction that LRH devoted a complete level of the Bridge to it on the road to spiritual improvement. He called this the “Service Facsimile”. Once handled will it will change a person’s life.

Service Facsimile: “that computation generated by the preclear (not the bank) to make self-right and others wrong, to dominate or escape domination and enhance own survival and injure that of others.” – Tech Dictionary

The service facsimile has a complete and explicit anatomy. It begins with an effort to control along any dynamic, with a failure to control, with a recognition of the failure, with a postulate to be ill, injured or unable, continues with an illness, injury or inability and may or may not end (short of processing) in days, weeks, years or an entire lifetime. The need to be right is a huge obstacle when it comes the handling of relationships. As commented on by a Spiritual teacher and author Eckhart Tolle. He goes as far as to describe the need to be right as a form of violence. At its mildest, it is inflexibility. At its height, it manifests as dominance.

“That which is not confronted and inspected tends to persist.  Thus, in the absence of his own confronting, mass collects.  The stable datum forbids inspection.  It’s an automatic solution.  It’s ‘safe.’  It solves everything.  He no longer has to inspect to solve, so he never as-ises the mass.  He gets caught in the middle of the mass.  And it collects more and more confusion and his ability to inspect becomes less and less. The more he isn’t confronting, the less he can confront.  This becomes a dwindling spiral. R3SC: “Routine Three, Service Facsimile Clear.” – Tech Dictionary

Those who have audited Service Facsimiles on others will be well aware of the relief the preclear experiences as “Ser Fac’s” are reduced and deleted from the person’s case.

“Every individual has what is called a service facsimile. This is actually part of a chain of incidents which the individual uses to invite sympathy or cooperation on the part of the environment.  One uses engrams to handle himself and others and the environ after one has himself conceived that he has failed to handle himself, others and the general environ.”  LRH, “Advanced Procedure and Axioms” [1951], pages 8-9

If you just keep banging away at someone until they flinch and accept your point of view, you’re probably not very happy with the state of your relationships.

Remember that all attempts to criticise another or make him wrong are probably coming from your own self-generated Service Facsimiles which, in turn, are prompting you to judge without integrity and leading you to commit overts.

This is a tall order, but with a little compassion, understanding and granting of beingness one can, with the help of some good TRO (Confronting Drill), manage to keep one’s Service Facsimiles under control, and hold your integrity in place until you can get rid of them by auditing them out.
